Westleigh Emord, the newest member of our team, is helping in the office as an administrative assistance and sales associate. Her grandfather Larry Hogan, a local winemaker, drove Westleigh’s interest in wine. Her fondest memory of them together was picking grapes during harvest and grape stomping in an old wooden barrel. Westleigh’s interest in wine influenced her decision to attend Sonoma State University and pursue a business degree in Wine Business Strategies. For the past two years Westleigh has immersed herself in the wine community. She has worked at Michel-Schlumberger, among other tasting rooms in Sonoma County and as an undergraduate research assistant for her wine professors at Sonoma State University. Recently she has interned in the marketing department at the California Wine Club and is currently working in a tasting room in Santa Ynez Valley. In her spare time, Westleigh enjoys spending time with friends and family and experiencing new wine adventures. Westleigh and her sister are currently working on producing their own wines under the label Seinna, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon. She writes about her wine experiences at https://westleighe.wordpress.com/wines-vines-grapes/
